Rudolph Jr.

This was a drawing of Rudolph that Jaiden did on the computer with a little help from me. He tells me that when he gets older he will help me at my office and do whatever I tell him to. I am looking forward to possibly keeping cartooning in the family…possibly (crossing fingers). Oh yeah, Jaiden wanted to make sure everyone knows he is 4 yrs. old
DAP – Day 8 and 9
I’m leaving town for the weekend. I plan to take a break from the computer, which is good timing since my laptop needs a new power cord. I do however, plan to take my sketchbook and pencils/pens with me. So I should have some sketches to post when I get back. In the mean time, enjoy this coloring I did of a previous sketch. I think I will make this my official break image….still give me feedback though. Thanks!
DAP – Day 7
This was a quick digital painting I did. I painted this based on an amazing piece of work called “Strawberry Shortcut” done by Jake Parker.
Robot Party Birthday Cake
This was a cake that my 4 yr. old son Jaiden and I worked together to make a couple weeks ago. It was based on a drawing Jaiden did of a robot. I thought it turned out awesome! Certainly was nice that Joyce made a Chocolate Strawberry Cake under all that icing….it was outstanding!
DAP – Day 4
Inked this sketch using a new pen I just got. I then scanned that image into photoshop and colored the artwork using my mouse. Smile Happy Banana…Keep Smilin’
DAP – Day 2
Well…Here is my entry for day 2…..so get off my back Chas….geez! Anyways, this is taken from a panel featured from BoltCity.com
Run blue bunny!!!….Run you cute little blue bizarre buddy…I’m goin to bed.
DAP – Day 1
This is the first of hopefully countless sketches to come. I have agreed to join up with some friends of mine and attempt to do atleast one sketch of some sort everyday. I may have got carried away on my first submission, but it was well worth it! I did all of this piece using a wacom tablet and adobe photoshop. This is my first attempt to really sketch in this fashion and I think it turned out pretty decent.
Granted it is taken from a sketch that Will Terrell did for one of his characters from his webcomic “SuperZeros”. I wasn’t trying to duplicate his sketch 100%, but it was amazing material to use for a really fun challenge! I was gonna leave it black and white, but then I couldn’t help myself. The character, Rosina “Muertina” Montano, has the most vibrant colors and possibly personality in the story. Maybe I am drawn to these characters with hair colors that are purple and blue, because I long to go back to my Freshman year in college when I had bright blue hair and two pierced ears?….maybe not. On that note….Let the sketching begin!
